Off to physical therapy…
Hubby and I had a great ride yesterday
we headed up north, but some nasty looking rain clouds turned us around and headed us back towards home. Hubby doesnt mind the rain, but I dont have alot of fun riding soaking wet, and with the brace I was wearing I didnt want it soaked either.. We stopped for some lunch and came home. I didnt get any pics, maybe next time. A quick run to the grocery store and we decided to take the kids to see the Harry Potter movie last night. The theater was pretty empty which suited me just fine. Baby likes to ask questions during the movie so at least she didnt bother many people. We ate our popcorn and drank our pop and enjoyed the movie. It cost us $42.50 for the 5 of us to get into the movie and another $30 for pop and popcorn!!
I guess it has been a while since we all went to the movies….. It may be awhile longer before we all go back!I got home after a very full day of being up on my ankle and I had no ankle. Everything was so swollen all I had were little sausages for toes. I sat with the ice pack on for awhile and hobbled to bed. I got up this morning and still have a swollen foot so my therapist probably wont be too happy, but oh well… That’s what happens now when I can finally start to get back into doing all my normal every day things…
I am walking without the crutches, and I walk better without the brace since I can feel the floor with my bare foot. After awhile of walking in the brace my knee hurts and I figure that is because of the funny way the brace makes me walk. My daughter said I look like a penguin. I am going to see what the therapist says to the ankle brace idea…
The house is still quiet.. Baby crawled into our bed last night and is still in there snoozing. Alex has left for school already and Sara is still sleeping too. Hubby left for work a couple hours ago so it is just me and the pooches… And both of them are outside too right now..
The way my day looks from here…
- Take a shower and wash my hair, shave my legs
- Go to therapy and let the physical terrorist do her job
- Stop by the store for the milk we forgot yesterday
- gas up the car, it’s just about empty
Call my granddaughter and wish her a happy first birthday-DONE- get some lunch for hubby
- try to convince the kids to get their chores done
- find some time to ice my ankle
Have a great day everyone, time for me to get moving….

Glad you had such a nice ride… sorry about the swolen ankle!
I bet it will just take time for everything to heal up properly. Movies are so expensive if you take a whole family, but I’m glad you got to go. Thank goodness for cheap $5 afternoon matinees, or I would probably never see a movie anymore. I hope that ankle gets better! <3
That’s unreal for a night at the movies! That’s almost 15 bucks a person! Including the little one!!! I just don’t go to movies. They are too darned expensive.
Don’t overdo on that ankle! You don’t wanna ruin all the hard work now! Hope the ankle therapist wasn’t too upset! lol
Have a great day! Hugs, Tracy
Your poor ankle! My feet swell up in the heat so I know the “my toes feel like overdone sausages feeling” lol I hope the therapist goes easy on you today.
Kat gets paid today so I imagen she’ll come home and grab her siblings and be off for the day. I’m getting ready to go mow some more.
Huggles!
Glad you are getting out & about again!!! Sounds like you had a very nice ride. Joe has been working on our motorcycle so its been a while since we rode. I’m jealous.
Tell Sara Congratulations on making the dance team. Caitlyn made it too, so I know what your saying about all of the expenses ( Caitlyn is in Marching Band as well) for the extracirricular activities and registration and school supplies. Please let Alex know that with the schedule I’ve had this week I haven’t been able to work on his tat but if all goes well I will work on it tonight and hopefully get it finished. Either Brianne or I will call him when I finish it. Sorry it is taking so long, I just can’t seem to get a free moment. Oh and thank you for the happy birthday greeting. Have a great weekend!!
Love & Hugs – Sherri Lynn

Hugs:) Brianne
Oooh, I hope your ankle swelling goes down quickly. Otherwise, I’m glad you had a nice ride.
Have a great weekend~Laurel
You must really love riding on a bike with your hubby to endure that kinda pain when you get home. I’ve had the “no ankles” thing a few times… when I was pregnant with each of my kids, about to give birth in late summer in the South! Not fun.
Hubby and I were talking about the future yesterday; and he’s still thinking about getting a bike. But, instead of the super-macho fast bike he’s been thinking about for the past two years; now he wants a cruiser, with a comfy back seat for his favorite biker chick (ME!). He was testing out the idea on me, and I surprised him by saying that I know that you and Mother_Moonie have a lot of fun with your husbands going for long weekend rides; that might be something he and I could enjoy, especially in a few years when the kids are off to college. He was so happy that I would consider it, he said that if/when he gets a bike, he’s SO sending you guys a “thank you” note for convincing me it won’t get us killed. LOL! Needless to say, we’d both go through a serious training course first…
RYC: I’m cautiously optimistic on the in-laws thing, which is more than I have been in years. It may be a real opportunity to get that relationship on solid, honest ground and get all that crap that’s been swept under the rug for years out in the open… any prayers you got for this evening would be MOST appreciated.
