Another Monday down :)
We decided on a name for the newest member of our family. She is now Mitzy
Hubby picked it out and it seems to fit her well enough. I tend to go for more exotic names, but this will work. Hubby really seems taken with her. Everyone does actually. She is such a sweetheart. She has already decided that our bed is her bed. We take her out to potty before bedtime and then put her in our bed in the middle and she curls up under the blankets and she is crashed til about 4am or so. It seems to work out alright cuz hubby usually wakes up around then anyway and he takes her out real quick. We haven’t had any messes or any problems out of her. Our only concern is a lot of times baby will come and crawl in our bed at night and we don’t want her to accidentally lay on Mitzy. Today was Mitzy’s first visit to our vet. He gave her a clean bill of health, her Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccine, her first heartworm pill and set her up for her next vaccine in a month. She weighs 3#9oz at 5 months of age; she is definitely a toy breed.Hubby had the day off. We spent the morning running errands and he spent the afternoon working on the deck. He has all the deck rails up now and is just about ready to start laying the decking floor planks. His next day off is Saturday, maybe he will be able to get the floor done by the end of the day. It is coming along, slowly but surely.
No other big news.. We got daughters' car up and running Saturday night. She had blown another radiator hose. Then hubby noticed she had a flat tire. He took it off, walked it over to air it up and realized it had a nail in it. Luckily she had an old spare that he was able to put on. Hopefully she will get that tire fixed soon because now she doesn’t have a spare.
Ohhhh … Boss lady called me tonight at home. I about fell over. Never in my entire 10 yrs of driving the bus have I ever had any boss call and ask me how I was doing with the route. But that is just what she did. I told her how it was going and some of my concerns. She seemed genuinely interested and also told me to contact her any time I had any kind of problem and to keep her updated on how things were going. I was truly shocked. I hope she continues to be as involved as she is right now.
That’s it for tonight. I have a pork roast in the crock-pot. I need to check on it and maybe make some mashed potatoes. I will have to figure out a vegetable when I check out the cupboard shelves
Have a great night everyone

I am so happy to hear that Mitzi is working out! And a clean bill of health is always an extra winner! Mitzi is a nice name! She is definately an adorable sweetie!
I think I would fall over if one of the good ol' boys of our School Board called me up and ask me how I liked my job!! LOL I think I would faint if we actually got a raise! LOL Since it is campaign time, and we have a few school board wanna be's knock on the door. (Never the ones already in office wanting to get re-elected, I notice!) I always mention that subs need a raise!!! LOL
Hope the pot roast was good! It sounds delish! Have a great Tuesday! Hugs, Tracy
That's great that your boss called you to see how things were going. Hopefully your ideas will be noticed, too. That pot roast sounds yummy! Do let me know if you have a good salad recipe. I've just gone brain dead on that one for now.
Have a good day! - Denise
