  • Happy New Year to all my xanga friends….I haven’t been around lately, (not that many have noticed I imagine)I have been keeping up with a lot of you thru my xanga digest so I semi know how everyone is…Tomorrow school starts back up.  I have been on a 2-week vacation from school for the holiday but all that changes tomorrow.  I can’t say that I am overjoyed that school is starting already.Seems like it just let out.  Oh well… So lets see… What’s been happening around here??  I have another lousy sinus infection.  Hubby has been sick for the last week too.  I think he has some kind of tummy bug though since he seems to be having all those problems.  I think he is getting better but he still feels a little off.  It hasn’t been bad enough to keep him home from work though. The kids are all doing fine.  Alex is finishing up his project for US history…   Sara is playing Curious George on the computer with Miranda… The new septic system is finally in.  My yard looks like a war zone though  Image1

We did get some grass seed planted a few days ago.  I am hoping that with the rain we have had that come spring the grass will be growing and all the mud outside will be a pretty new lawn. The guys putting the septic system in managed to cut our phone line and crack and knock our computer satellite dish out of whack.   Hubby was able to reposition the dish and he got the phone line put back together so everything is fine now.  I was thinking with both those problems we should have gotten a break on the bill, but we were just too nice to push it.  Also Ron got the drywall up in the living room and has the first coat of mud on the seams.  He is talking about getting the first layer sanded so he can get another layer on and we can get moving on the texturing and painting.  I can’t believe the difference in how nice it looks already even without the texturing and paint.  It is just nice to have actual walls instead of just insulation Not a lot else to report…  We had a nice gift this holiday season…  One of my xanga buds, SherriLynn, and her wonderful daughter, LusciousRedLips, stopped by with a big Christmas basket of homemade goodies  Everything was delicious!  Thanks so much Sherri and Bri, we loved it On Christmas Eve Santa made a quick stop.  Miranda and my little granddaughters were in awe  They were just so tickled to see him, he even brought little gifts for them..  We had a great day with all the kids and their families and then on Christmas Day we spent a quiet day at home with Alex, Sara and baby.  It was nice…  New Years Eve we celebrated our wedding anniversary.  At the last minute I was able to get reservations at a very nice hotel that was sponsoring dinner and a dance.  We enjoyed a wine and cheese appetizer, dinner and dancing.  At the stroke of midnight we celebrated with a kiss, we like to say that every year on the stroke of midnight the entire world celebrates with us   Kinda corny, but we like it   Then back to our room for a more romantic evening…  The next morning we enjoyed a champagne brunch and then it was back to reality.  We stopped at Menards and got a new sump pump to replace the one that finally died and came back home to get a few more chores done.   Later that night we took all the kids to see the movie Happy Feet.  We all enjoyed it and I couldn’t keep baby from jumping up during the movie and tapping her little happy feet   Not much else to report so I am going to head out.  Take care everyone

  • What a slacker!!!    No excuse other than I have just been lazy…  I did spend the last part of the week sick though so does that make me look a little better?  No?   Well, that’s what I figured     Thanks go out to my wonderful daughter Sara for giving everyone here in the house another dose of the creeping crud.  She spent the first 3 days of the week sick with the flu, then she gave it to baby, then on Thursday I woke up sick   I took Thursday and Friday off from work and Alex ended up sick too.  Friday afternoon hubby came home from work sick…  So the entire family took their turns this past week.  Hopefully it is all over now and will be a memory by time Thanksgiving rolls around.  The kids are all coming over so I have dinner to make, house to clean, and on Friday we are driving to Ohio to visit hubby’s mom for the weekend.  Its an 8 hour drive so we will head back Sunday morning to be here in time for work Monday morning    ugh!   I don’t like busy weeks like this….

I had my appointment with the Rheumatology Dr.  a couple weeks ago.   Not a whole lot of news at this point.  She says at the very least I show positive for Fibromyalgia…  But my SED rate is pretty high and that isn't something that goes along with Fibro. So she drew more blood, took more x-rays and made another appt for me to come back next month when all the blood tests will be back from the lab in California.  When I know more I will let you know.    The gynecology appt was pushed back another month too.  Wouldn’t you know…  I wait a month to get in to see the Dr and then on the morning of my appt I am sick with the flu    Oh well….    Things haven’t changed in that department either….

There really isn't a lot of anything to report, even though my daughter Lily says my life isn't that boring      News from the bus is that the 3 boys causing me all the headaches were kicked off the bus for one week.  They came back last week and about the 3rd day one of the other students came up to me and quietly said “I don’t want to sit by ***** cuz he has lice and I don’t want it!”   Well, you could have dropped a bomb on me!   No one told me they have been sent home a few times now with head lice…   All 3 boys in the family….  So I moved the one student to another seat and when I got home called the Principal.  He told me that head lice is not considered anything other than a nuisance now so they don’t send kids home anymore.  I said that’s just great…    I ride the bus, my little girl rides the bus, my other 2 kids ride the bus and 48 other students ride the bus…  I guess we aren’t concerned with infecting other kids anymore…..    So who knows what the new policy on that will turn out to be?

Still remodeling around here… Next on the list is getting a new septic system put in.  Before we can do that though hubby needs to get the new plumbing lines from the toilets ran because the tank is being put in a new place and so we need all new lines..  We can’t go without the toilets so we need all that done before the old lines are disconnected…   The work just never ends….  Now, hubby just needs to find the time to get it done.  If all works out well we might have the drywall up in the livingroom/diningroom before Xmas this year….  We did get the hot tub deck finished and the hot tub is in its new home    We actually sat and soaked for the first time a few nights ago.  It felt soooo good on my sore body    I am glad we got that part all finished…..

That’s about all I can really think of right now….   I hope everyone is doing fine.  I have been checking back and forth on you all…   Now I need to go leave some lovies     Have a nice Sunday evening xanga buds

  • Lonely, Lonely….   The only words I can think of right now to express how I feel.  Hubby is gone for the next few days and I really hate when he has to go to these big meetings.  He left early this morning and wont be home til sometime Thursday afternoon..  At least he will be home in time for his birthday on Friday…  He turns the big 48…   He doesn’t mind though, it is me that seems kinda freaked by how the numbers keep climbing.  Not his, but mine…  I guess I should be happy it isn't the flip side though.  That definitely wouldn’t be better…   So Friday is hubby’s birthday.  He is taking that day off from work since he is going to be gone all week at the meeting.  Hopefully we can go out for dinner or something.  He doesn’t know it but next Monday when we have our birthday celebration at the pizza place he is gonna get sung to also

I got a call from the nurse at my Dr’s office last night.  She said they had the results from the pelvic US.  All she would say is they want me to go see an OB/Gyn at an appt they are setting up.  She said the radiologist saw a fibroid and some cysts on my ovaries.  At my US last year I also had some cysts on my ovaries, which they said was nothing to worry about.  But the fibroid is something new…   So til I find out exactly what is going on I don’t know what the next course of action is if any… One other thing, my bloodwork came back good so it looks like I am not entering peri-menopause just yet

I also forgot to mention in my last post that hubby and I did go to Ohio.  We had a nice visit with his mom.  It is always nice to get away for awhile.  That 8-hour drive is a killer though.  Baby did real well the entire trip, which always makes it better…

I can’t think of anything else except for this…   My big strapping almost 17yr old son came into me tonight and said he needed help.  I couldn’t help but laugh at him…   He had put both of his index fingers into one of those puzzle things.  I am sure you remember them.  They are made out of strawlike material and the more you try to pull your fingers out the tighter it gets     I laughed and laughed watching him try to get loose…   Finally I took pity on him and helped him get out.   I guess I am not such a mean old mom after all

               Have a great night everyone

  • SURPRISE!!!!   I am still alive    I cant believe how much time has slipped by since I updated.  Actually I came down sick and am just now feeling better.  Some rotten Urinary Tract Infection AND a sinus infection….   I have been up and down running fevers and just feeling plain awful.  I am finally doing better, but I still wake up at night running a fever sometimes.  I have been on antibiotics since last Wednesday so I would think I would be feeling lots better….  Anyway….  Hmmmmm..  What’s been happening around here?  Well yesterday we had a surprise.  Hubby went out the back door onto our new deck and saw what he thought was leaves burning.  It turned out to be a car burning just outside of our fence!   I ran in and called 911 and my son ran down to make sure no one was inside the car.  It was empty and had Iowa plates on it so wasn’t from around here.  The volunteer fire dept siren went off and before I even got off the phone from 911 they were out there with the hose going.  I could hear the windshield glass popping and breaking and I know by the time they got the fire out there was nothing worth saving of that car.  Kinda strange though that it was out there at 7 in the morning burning away and no one was around.  We were wondering if it was stolen, but I imagine we will never find out for sure…

    Image1

So hubby went off to work and I got the day started.  It was my daughters 15th birthday so I made her cake.  She was tickled cuz she finally got a dvd/cd player for her bedroom.  She has wanted one for a while now…

My grandbabies are sick.  Colds and coughs.  And my daughter, their mama, has a sore throat.  It isn't even winter yet and everyone is coming down sick.  I forgot to mention hubby has been coughing and has a cold too.  He has to head to Kansas City this Tuesday for a few days for a managers meeting.  I am NOT looking forward to that    I hate it when he isn't home.  But he has to make this meeting every October so I guess I am getting used to it.  I will be a managers meeting widow til Thursday, just me and the kids

Our baby turns 3 on the 25th.  We decided to have her birthday at the pizza place again this year.  They have a little merry go round and a few games to play, plus the pizza, the happy birthday singing and the ice cream sundae for the lucky birthday person.  This year we are celebrating all of our October birthdays…   hubby, baby, my daughter, Sara, that just turned 15, Son, Alex who is about to turn 17, my son Joshua, who will be 22, and his wife, Nikki, who will also be 22.  We figured this way we will have 1 birthday bash and get them all

My sister called me a few days ago.  She said her diagnosis from the Dr was Systemic Lupus.  She was scared and upset.  A couple of days after the Dr call,  I think it was Friday night, she got another phone call.   This time from the Dr’s assistant.  She called to tell my sister that the diagnosis was NOT Lupus, it was Polyarthritis, which is a whole new ballgame.  My sister was so angry that they had scared her so badly by giving her the wrong information and what she thought amounted to a death sentence at only 34yrs old.  Apparently it was a mix up and the girl that read the diagnosis first was reading the assistant’s notes, and not the actual lab results…  Apparently they have since had a meeting and the assistant promised nothing like this will ever happen again to anyone.  My sister is relieved she doesn’t have Lupus and is now researching to see what this Polyarthritis holds in store for her.

I had my yearly physical last Wednesday.  The Dr ran some blood tests.  That is when they discovered the UTI.  Actually I went in that morning feeling awful.  The nurse took my temp, asked me if I was feeling alright because I was running a fever.  I said no,  I think I have a bladder infection.  Her next question?  Would you like me to check your urine?  Well DUH!  Yes I would I said….  In my mind I am thinking she is a moron with a capital M.  But maybe I am not being charitable because I just don’t feel well.  Now tomorrow morning I have to run in to the lab for a pelvic ultrasound and a mammogram.  What joy!  The mammogram is just my yearly check up, the pelvic US is to see what is up with my nether regions…   Peri-Menopause could be the problem.  Wont know til later…

I am trying to think if much else has happened.  Not a lot I don’t think.  We did pretty much get the patio deck finished.  I want to get some lights put on the top railing where we put the copper caps on the other deck..  The building inspector has been out and passed both decks so we are finished with him.  We have the hot tub up on the back deck.  We have to finish getting it cleaned out and serviced so we can get it back in action.  It’s an old hot tub, but apart from replacing the pump one time we haven’t had any trouble out of it.  I does need some cosmetic work though, but you can’t complain when we got it for nothing.  Hubby’s mom has some friends that wanted to get rid of it a few years back so we drove to Ohio and picked it up and brought it back.  It’s a small one, fits about 3 people if you don’t mind being friendly   But for hubby and I it is just perfect and we have gotten a lot of use out it.   Sure makes my poor back and knees feel better…

Ok,  I am going to cut this short(ha! Like this is short)   because I could just keep rambling….   But before I go…  Hubby and son, Alex have been working all day on getting the new door installed on our back porch that goes out to the hot tub deck….   At least now we don’t have to walk all the way around the house to get to the back yard

Have a great night xanga buds…  I am sorry I haven’t checked in with anyone lately, but I have been trying to catch up and intend to say hi as soon as I get this posted

  • I had an eventful weekend…   Saturday hubby worked on the deck..  He took a vacation day so he had another weekend off!  This is highly unusual for him and I have really enjoyed it.  Usually his days off fall during the week when I have to get up early and drive the bus.  This way we both got to play lazy and stay in bed awhile and snuggle   He got the stairs built and part of the hand railing done.  Tomorrow he is going to work on more of it.  Saturday afternoon it cooled off and got rainy again so he called it an early day.   Sunday was spent doing more work on the deck for him…  It is getting closer to being done….

Image1 You can see he has a helper

Now for my Saturday…   I participated in an all day crop contest at one of the scrapbooking sites I belong to…   scrapoutsidethebox   it was a crop done for the American Cancer Society.  All funds from the sale of the main big charity kit went to them.  The site raised almost $700.   But the most exciting part is that I won first prize for a layout I submitted     I also won first prize for the most participation, but they said I couldn’t win both first prizes and so the participation prize went to the next runner up…     I won some gift certificates to a few different scrapbooking stores, and the big prize is a gift collection from Creating Keepsakes.  I have no idea what all will be in it but it is coming to my house thru the mail….   I will keep you all updated

Ga9This is a layout I did from a picture I took of my 2 little granddaughters back in March.  I changed it to B&W and softened it a bit and here is the layout...

Monday was back to work for both of us..  My days are pretty much all the same.   Get up, get on the bus at 6:31, get home at 7:45am, do laundry, any left over dishes, feed baby breakfast, etc etc…  Hubby usually comes home for lunch so I do get to see him during the day, and then he goes backto work.   Soon after that it is time for me to drive my afternoon route…  Then I get home and just be lazy usually.  Or at least I try too

Hubby gets tomorrow off.  He has plans to work some more on the deck.  He wont get another day off now until next Friday.  On October 6th we are driving up to visit with his mom for a few days in Ohio.  That will be a nice break for us.  Then it will be come back home on the 9th and back to work on the 10th.  Nothing like jumping right back into it..

Not much else happening around here…  I wont bore you with any stories about how rotten the kids on the bus have been.  But I did get a new seating chart drawn up today.  I have tried to put the boys away from each other and put the girls in between them.  Maybe that will keep them a little quieter.  If not I will be back to changing seats around again.  It just makes it hard when you have 50 kids on the bus and only so many seats…  (50 is better than 60+ though)

Oh well,  have a great night xanga buds

  • Friday again!  Has it really been a week since I updated?  I am finally getting over whatever kind of crud I have had all week.  Some sinus/headache/congestion/runny nose/swollen glands/sore throat/fever kinda thing…    My week hasn’t been too eventful…  hmmmm Saturday was nice.  Hubby had the weekend off and we got up Saturday morning, got on the bike and spent the entire day out riding.  We stopped at a couple bike shops looking for some good leather jackets but didn’t find anything we liked.  I did finally find some really nice jackets online at http://www.foxcreekleather.com/   so that is probably where we will get them from…   Sunday hubby spent the day working on the deck.  He has the floor down now and is working on the steps.  After that will be the railing and it will be done      Monday was back to work and about then is when I started feeling worse…  I ended up taking Wednesday off from work and spending the day in bed.  As much as baby would let me anyway,  in between getting up to feed her or get her pink chocolate milk(strawberry milk) I didn’t get much rest.  Back to work Thursday and here it is Friday…

The kids just left for their homecoming football game, they probably wont be home til late because the school is having a big fireworks display after the game.  Then tomorrow is the big dance.  My older daughter (the cosmetologist) is coming over to fix Sara’s hair and nails.  The way Sara has been acting you would think this was her prom or something…  I guess that is typical 14yr old behavior, at least GIRL behavior.  Anyway, with my older daughter coming over that means 3 of my 5 grandchildren will be here so it will be a busy day.  Hubby may take tomorrow off from work, he is checking into his vacation time.  He definitely gets Sunday off so it will be more work on the deck.

Tonight will be a quiet night. No one is here but me and baby.   She is just about ready for her bath.  It wont be too long and she will want to crawl in bed and watch a movie.  Generally within 15 minutes she is asleep.  Then hubby will be home in about 3 hours and we can spend some quiet time together.

I hope all my xanga friends are doing well.  I haven’t been out checking up on anyone     I feel like such a slacker        Have a great weekend everyone…  I am gonna head out and see what you all have been up to this past week

  • It’s Friday!   After my afternoon run another week will be behind me…   They seem to be going by so fast.  Is it because I am getting older?  I don’t remember time flying by when I was younger….  Now if I blink for a moment it seems like years have passed.  My four oldest have all moved out with families of their own. All that is left here are the youngest three.  And they aren’t that young..  My son and daughter are both in high school, which just leaves the baby…  Ha!  Baby…   She is already a little girl.  How did that happen?  I swear just yesterday I was holding her and singing lullabyes.   This whole line of thinking was brought on by a post I read this morning on my friend Tracy’s site.  She got me thinking about how fast time passes…  Now I have grandchildren, not one, not two, but FIVE grandchildren.   When did all of that happen?????  I am a grandma..  I don’t FEEL like a grandma, (well ok, sometimes I do)   but most of the time I feel like that teenaged girl I used to be….

Hubby called a few minutes ago.  He wants a lunch date with me and baby.  Where else?   McD’s…  That will make baby happy.  She can play and run and maybe I will get her something other than chicken nuggets this time, although that is what she always asks for…   Seems like she eats the apples, drinks the chocolate milk and leaves the nuggets..     After that if we have time hubby wants to check out some leather jackets.  Now that the weather is cooling off he was thinking it might be nice to get a couple so we could still take some bike trips (not that not having them has stopped us in the past).  The coldness doesn’t seem to bother him though as much as it bothers me.  But nothing could be as bad as the day we headed down to Florida last April.  It was 28*.  Once the bike got moving I know the wind chill had to be below 0*,  I felt like a freezer pop when we finally stopped for the night….  I think it was a little too cold for hubby too cuz he spent about an hour standing in the hot shower at the hotel

Well, I better get moving.  I need to get the clothes out of the dryer and take the puppy out to go potty.  Then it should be just about time to take baby to town for lunch with her daddy…

Have a great day everyone and leave a smile

  • Homecoming! Blech!

School was only a half day today.  We got out at 11:15am.  That just doesn’t leave much time for me to get anything done before I have to turn around and go back out and drive again.   I have been needing to get the bus up to the bus barn to get the oil changed since last week, but every day something seems to come up and they tell me to bring it in the next day.  Well this morning I was supposed to take it up again.  I am glad I radioed to make sure they had time to change it cuz sure enough they want me to wait til tomorrow morning.   Don’t want to change the oil on their half day now do they?    So I drive the afternoon route and get home about 12:20pm,  my 14 almost 15 yr old daughter wants to go shopping for a homecoming dress.  I hate clothes shopping.  I guess I am one of those weird women,  I would rather drive the bus than go shopping for clothes and certainly not with my almost 15 yr old daughter who doesn’t agree with anything I would choose….   Well, her friend, Bri, came home with Sara from school today so the 3 of us and baby went to the mall.  I told Sara we weren’t hitting a bunch of stores so to choose the one she wanted to go to wisely.  We ended up at a place called Deb Shops. They have some cute dresses and other junior and plus sized clothing.  Now Sara is only a size 4 so it isn’t like it is too hard to find clothes for her…   She picked out a couple really pretty dresses, but one was too short, (in my opinion)  and the other showed some cleavage…   I guess there is just no meeting in the middle.  Finally after trying on a few different dresses she ended up getting a red dress with black over it.  Pretty, but one of those cleavage showing ones…   She about kissed me to death when I told her she could get it, it was a choice between that or the too short one, she didn’t like anything else…  Lately it has been one of those “pick my fights” with her so I figured the dress wasn’t too bad.  Plus her brother will be at the dance too so he can keep an eye on her…

Image1a Yeah, I know..... Just shoot me now!

After shopping baby decided she was sooooo hungry..  She needed chicken nuggets. Of course the only place with chicken nuggets is McD’s so I stopped there.   What she really wanted was to play on the slide, but she did eat her apples and drink her chocolate milk.  She didn’t touch those famous had to have them nuggets though…  I let her run and play for about 45 minutes and then we headed home.  Son Alex had taken the puppy out so that was good, and he even got the dishes done

I am still waiting for hubby to get home.  Baby is all comfy in our bed watching the toons.  Hubby said the Loss Prevention guy was coming into the store today from Kansas City to talk to one of the employees that might have been doing some pilfering not to mention a lot of customers have complained about him.  He might not have a job after this meeting,  the employee not hubby.  Plus hubby wanted to talk to him about some things that have been going on policy wise with the company…  It should be interesting to see how that all turns out.  The only bad thing is he should have been home a few hours ago

I forgot to mention…   we went to Sears and bought a recumbent exercise bike.  One of those digital does everything kinda bikes.  We are really going to get serious about the exercising again.  We still have a membership at the Y but seems like we never get time to get there.  This way the bike is in our room and there is no excuse for not getting on it.  I am hoping to see some improvements in the upcoming months…   I did my fitness level test on it tonight and only scored a 14    It doesn’t say if that is good or bad, it is just to be used as a starting point so you can see how you are improving as the weeks pass.  Just seems to me that a 14 isn't very good.  Last night hubby did his fitness test and scored a 25….  Must be all that walking he does at work…

Well,  this weekend is supposed to be a nice one.  It is supposed to warm back up into the 70’s and 80’s.  It has been in the 60’s the last week with lows in the 40’s.  Hubby has this weekend off,  I know he wants to work on the deck but I am hoping I can convince him to take a nice long leisurely bike ride…   Maybe up north to see if any of the leaves are changing colors yet along the river road…   I am due for some R&R, actually I think we both are     We are planning a 4 day weekend 10/6-10/9.  We are going to take baby and go up to Ohio to see hubby’s mom.   We don’t get to see her as often as we would like.  She is the desk clerk/manager at a Holiday Inn Express up there so we always stay at her hotel (usually for free or darn near free) and that way we can visit as she works.  She always works the weekends.  But it is ok, cuz we can have breakfast with her, sit and chat, (in between customers coming and going) and then have dinner and visit in the evening too.  Plus if baby gets hungry in between times we can always raid the hotel kitchen     I always look forward to seeing her, plus she is just a sweet lady

Ok,  time to close out this book…  Aren't you glad?  Have a great night xanga buds

Edited:  Hubby is home.  The guy still has his job, but now he has an interview from the Human Resource guy to look forward to...

  • Another Monday down :)

We decided on a name for the newest member of our family.  She is now Mitzy    Hubby picked it out and it seems to fit her well enough.  I tend to go for more exotic names, but this will work.  Hubby really seems taken with her.  Everyone does actually.  She is such a sweetheart.  She has already decided that our bed is her bed.  We take her out to potty before bedtime and then put her in our bed in the middle and she curls up under the blankets and she is crashed til about 4am or so.  It seems to work out alright cuz hubby usually wakes up around then anyway and he takes her out real quick.  We haven’t had any messes or any problems out of her.  Our only concern is a lot of times baby will come and crawl in our bed at night and we don’t want her to accidentally lay on Mitzy. Today was Mitzy’s first visit to our vet.  He gave her a clean bill of health, her Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccine, her first heartworm pill and set her up for her next vaccine in a month.  She weighs 3#9oz at 5 months of age; she is definitely a toy breed.

    Image1 Image2

Hubby had the day off.  We spent the morning running errands and he spent the afternoon working on the deck.  He has all the deck rails up now and is just about ready to start laying the decking floor planks.  His next day off is Saturday,  maybe he will be able to get the floor done by the end of the day.   It is coming along, slowly but surely.

No other big news..  We got daughters' car up and running Saturday night.  She had blown another radiator hose.  Then hubby noticed she had a flat tire.  He took it off, walked it over to air it up and realized it had a nail in it.  Luckily she had an old spare that he was able to put on.  Hopefully she will get that tire fixed soon because now she doesn’t have a spare.

Ohhhh …   Boss lady called me tonight at home.  I about fell over.  Never in my entire 10 yrs of driving the bus have I ever had any boss call and ask me how I was doing with the route.  But that is just what she did.  I told her how it was going and some of my concerns.  She seemed genuinely interested and also told me to contact her any time I had any kind of problem and to keep her updated on how things were going.  I was truly shocked.  I hope she continues to be as involved as she is right now.

That’s it for tonight.  I have a pork roast in the crock-pot.  I need to check on it and maybe make some mashed potatoes.  I will have to figure out a vegetable when I check out the cupboard shelves     Have a great night everyone

  • Welcome little girl :)

Image2 We added a new member to our family today….   A 4-month-old female Papillon, also known as “the Butterfly dog” because of her large ears…   She is such a sweetheart.  Right now she isn’t real pretty since she is blowing her puppy hair so her adult coat can come in, but she has great potential    We haven’t decided on a name for her yet so if anyone has a good one please let me know Image1 Image3

Poor little drowned rat.  She just had her first bath at her new home...  Can you believe those ears!??!!

As soon as hubby gets home we have to drive in to town to look at our oldest daughters car.  It overheated on her yesterday and is sitting in the parking lot at the grocery store.  Hard telling what the problem is this time.  It seems like we are always fixing something for one of our kids…  I guess that is what parents do.

It has been a pretty quiet day otherwise.  Trying to get the house straightened up and watch the new puppy.  Baron, our German Shepherd, thinks she is pretty cute.  But he is so big that as soon as he comes around she starts trembling.  I think she will be fine once she gets used to him and his size.

The boy is off today helping his brother move into a trailer that brother and wife just bought.  Hopefully it isn’t going to take all weekend.  Last night they were shampooing carpets and today is the day to start moving the big stuff.  They found a nice refrigerator, and a stove came with the place, so it looks like they are set.  I think he told me it even had a washer and dryer.  Now if he can just make the payments….     I am getting too old and tired to worry about the kids’ bills too….

Ok,  off to get a few more things done…  Have a great night xanga buds
